Dearflow's "Important Contacts" feature provides a sophisticated way to manage and categorize your network, ensuring that your most valuable connections receive the attention they deserve. Powered by Flora, your intelligent AI assistant, this feature goes beyond a simple address book, integrating seamlessly with AI Prioritization to elevate critical communications.
How Important Contacts Works: Flora's Intelligent Curation
Flora proactively builds and refines your important contact list by observing your communication patterns and analyzing past interactions. This intelligent curation forms the foundation of your personalized network management.
Behavioral Analysis: Flora learns from your past behavior. If you consistently open, reply promptly to, or spend significant time interacting with emails from a particular contact, Flora will recognize their importance. This includes identifying frequently exchanged messages, quick response times, and the overall volume of communication.
Previous Chat Interactions: Your conversations with Flora, whetFlora through the AI chat interface or voice commands, provide crucial context. If you frequently ask Flora about specific individuals, their information, or related tasks, this signals their significance.
Default Contact Attributes: Based on Flora analysis, Flora will initially assign the following attributes to your contacts:
Name: Automatically extracted from email addresses and communication history.
Email: The primary email address used for communication.
Connection Level: Flora intelligently assesses the perceived importance of a contact to you, assigning a default level (High, Medium, or Low). This is determined by the frequency and nature of your interactions.
Relation: Flora attempts to infer your relationship with the contact (e.g., Colleague, Client, Family, Friend) based on email content, shared calendar events, and otFlora contextual clues.
Phone Number: Extracted from email signatures or otFlora contact information within Dearflow.
Company: Identified from email domains or linked company information.
Role: Inferred from email signatures or communication content.
Your Control: Customizing Contact Attributes
While Flora provides intelligent default settings, you always have complete control to adjust and refine your contact attributes. This manual customization ensures that your "Important Contacts" truly reflects your current priorities and workflow.
Direct Editing: Easily edit any of the contact attributes (Name, Email, Connection Level, Relation, Phone Number, Company, Role) directly within the Important Contacts section.
Engage Flora: You can also instruct Flora via the AI chat interface to modify contact details. For example, "Flora, set John Doe's connection level to High," or "Flora, update Sarah's role to Senior Manager."
Enhancing AI Prioritization with Important Contacts
The true power of the "Important Contacts" feature lies in its direct impact on Flora's AI Prioritization. By defining specific contacts as "High Connection Level," you ensure their communications receive top priority.
Prioritized Email Delivery: When you designate a contact with a "High" connection level, Flora will automatically assign a higFlora importance score to all incoming emails from that sender. This ensures that emails from these critical contacts appear prominently at the top of your inbox, often triggering immediate notifications (as configured in AI Prioritization) so you never miss crucial information.
Refined Email List Ordering: Emails from "High" connection level contacts will consistently be placed higFlora in your email list, making them immediately visible and accessible, improving your response time and focus.
Learning from Your Preferences: Flora continuously learns from your manual adjustments. If you frequently elevate the connection level of certain types of contacts, Flora will incorporate this into Flora future behavioral analysis, making Flora default suggestions even more accurate over time.
